The boy named Red stand still on top of the tallest and dangerous mountain in all of the regions; Mt. Silver, but for what purpose? Some say that he just wanted to keep on training to become the very best, after defeating the Elite Fours and the champion himself. Others speculate that he wanted to get out of the house and stay up there for solitary confinement. Another reason is that he has gone insane and that he no longer wants to be a part of the world and even have thoughts of suicide, but for what reason? Hell no one knows, its just one of those dark rumors people have been spreading. However, only the person with the red jacket and cap, along with his pokemon knows why exactly he stood there. He's depressed...Red was never much of a talker, let alone talk at all. He was always the serious type and the calm one. But today, he's even more sad because today is Valentine's day, a day where everyone spread their loves to the one they care about.

"Pikachu...it's Valentine's day...and not a single person gives a damn about me." Red sadly whispered at his beloved yellow rat pokemon with red polka dot cheeks. The rat pokemon looks at Red with a depressed expression with its ears hanging down low and it's tail bent over. Red gave a sigh as he sat down on the snow and look up at the night sky.

"I wonder...if Leaf's thinking about me, I miss her...but...now that she hangs out with Blue more often...I'm alone. I don't blame her...it was my fault that I killed his Raticate." Red sadly said as he look at Pikachu as his rat friend nods his head. Red hugged his knees as he starts remembering the day he killed his rival's pokemon by accident, but a kill is a kill, and he was responsible for it. After that, Leaf hated him for that. It was all his fault, and he wish he never went on a journey to become the best, you gain and you lose. But in the end, was it worth the effort take away someone's hopes and dreams away? Hell no, the fact that he did the unforgiving thing to Blue and the fact that Leaf now hates him, he hates being the master, it's a cursed title.

Red slowly stood up as he starts walking towards the cliff of the mountain as he peered down. It was nothing, but pure white fog and snow at the bottomless pit. He frowned and is having suicidal thoughts as he grits his teeth and hands together. His pokemon looked at him worriedly as the rat pokemon ran up to him and tries to pull his master away from the steep cliff.

"Pika Pi!" Pikachu cried out as he tries to pull Red's jean pants, but the rodent wasn't strong enough to do anything. He thought about shocking his master, but it will do more harm than good. Tears start forming on Pikachu's face as he tries his best to pull Red away from the cliff.

"Pikachu...let me go..." Red whispered to his friend. Pikachu shook his head furiously as he starts shouting at his master to come to his senses. Red kept looking down as he closes his eyes and took a step forward.

"NO!" A voice boomed out behind Red. Red's eyes suddenly bulged out as he recognize that voice, a female voice. Red was suddenly tugged behind him as he fell down on his butt as he's being pulled. Someone behind him embraced him from behind as she kept pulling him further away from the cliff. Red didn't turn back due to the shock and surprise he had just heard. A few pulls later she stopped as she starts huffing and puffing to catch her breath. Red didn't say anything as he starts feeling a little uneasy.

"You stupid idiot!" The female voice called out in anger towards Red, the boy didn't turn around as he just kept still, sitting down while keeping his eyes at the cliff. Pikachu looked at the both of them with worries as he went towards Red and licked his face for comfort. Finally Red turns around and sees the brunette haired girl with a white pokeball hat, a blue coat with large buttons, black boots, green mittens, and a silver bracelet that Red gave to her for her birthday. She had tears in her eyes, face redden from anger and the cold, while panting at the same time.

"Leaf..." Red simply said as he kept looking at her. Suddenly she grew angry at Red as she punched him down onto the snow which caught Red by surprise.

"You're so stupid Red! What the hell do you think you're doing!?" Leaf cried out as she kept lashing at him with her blows. Red didn't respond back as he kept taking in the hits as though he's made out of iron.

"Is it because of Blue, is it because of the things you've done to his pokemon!?" Leaf yelled at him in anger. Red looked down at the snow, his cap covering his red eyes.

"Y-Yes..." Red simply responded. Leaf couldn't take it anymore as she punched him hard across the face that left a red mark.

"God damnit Red, it's not your fault! Blue's the one who attacked you with force, you were just defending yourself at the cruise ship!" Leaf yelled out at Red, who suddenly glared at Leaf as he finally stood back up.

"You don't get it Leaf! I was the one who did this, for stealing someone's dreams away, for causing him pain and misery, and it's my fault! This horrible guilt is killing me Leaf, it just won't go away because...it was my responsibility!" Red yelled back at Leaf. Leaf grew angry as she looks up at Red in the eye.

"You may have taken his hopes and dreams, but it's not your fault, it was nobody's fault, it just happened Red! If you're feeling guilty Red, then why don't you come down from this damn mountain and come back home!" Leaf yelled at Red who just turned his head the other direction in disgust and annoyed. His pokemon Pikachu looked at the both of them worriedly.

"You love him..." Red whispered as he kept looking the other way. This caught Leaf by surprise as she look at Red with concern. Did she just hear it right?

"I don't love him like that Red." Leaf replied back. Red looked back at Leaf with angry eyes.

"Oh yeah? Then where were you when I became the champion, you went to Blue's side huh!? Or when his Raticate had died you went to him and stayed by him. You never called me again after my champion title and...that is why I ran away Leaf. I ran away because of you." Red simply stated as he looked at her with a serious look. Leaf could only stare at the boy in red clothes.

"You really think...that I love him because his pokemon had died, and his hopes and dreams were crushed? No Red...I was only there to comfort him while no one else did, besides you weren't there after he ran away. He was just as sad and regretful for the things he did to you, he wanted to apologize to you, for the things he's done in the past. Red...please come home." Leaf sadly said as she extended a hand. Red looked at it and grunts in disgust. He slapped it away which caught Leaf by surprise.

"Red!" Leaf yelled out.

"LIES! You only came here to humiliate me some more, you're with him because he's better looking than me, you're with him because he's got the charm! Well Leaf, congratulations, you're no better than the retards who worship him! You're just here to make me feel even more guilty on my crimes!" Red yelled back at her in frustration. Leaf was stunned by his acts as tears starts forming in her eyes.

"How could you...how could you think like that Red..." Leaf cried as she covers her face with her gloved mittens and started crying. This got Red to stop yelling as he looks down on the ground. He wanted to hug her, tell her he's sorry, but he can't. He can't hug someone who's here to humiliate him and tell him all these lies.

"Go home Leaf..." Red said coldly as he turned away and looked out in the distance in deep thought. Red felt tears running down his eyes, but quickly wipe them away. He doesn't want her to see him like this. Suddenly he felt two arms snake around his back and a tight embrace from behind. This took Red by surprise as he stood there motionless, unable to respond or react to this sudden move by Leaf.

"No Red...I came this far to see you...to be with you on this lonely holiday." Leaf said as she gripped onto him tighter. Red didn't respond.

"It's Valentine's day Red, people shouldn't be fighting over this beautiful holiday, they should be celebrating by giving each others love to one another." Leaf said as she felt Red's fingerless gloves grip on her left hand.

"I came here to see you Red...I came so far just to see you on this holiday because Red...I love you and only you." Leaf said as she felt Red's other hand grip onto her hand. Red's heart started beating at an incredible rate, he didn't know how to respond to that one. Did he hear it right? Did he hear Leaf saying those three words to him? Is there actually someone in this world that actually cared about him for who he is and not base on appearance? He may not be the most attractive guy in the world, but he is caring, but that is enough for her.

"Leaf...I'm sorry...but...what about Blue?" Red ask as he turned around and looked down at her who was a few inches shorter than him. She wipe her eyes as she gave him her weak smile.

"I told you...I don't love him like that...but I love you." Leaf said. Red closed his eyes and gave a sigh. He doesn't know anything anymore. The person before him, Leaf, his childhood friend loves him.

"Leaf...I'm sorry for saying those harsh things to you, will you ever forgive me?" Red asked as he held onto her hands. Leaf nods her head as she leaned over and kissed him on the lips. They finally departed as they both look at each other in the eyes.

"Of course, you are after all, my Valentine and I will always be with you when you're feeling alone." Leaf happily said as she embraced him and rested her head on his chest. Red sighed as he strokes her long brown hair.

"I love you too Leaf...now let's go home..." Red whispered to her ear. Leaf pulled back and look at him and smiled. They both walk down from Mt. Silver hand in hand with Pikachu right behind them.
